The Great State of Massachusetts

The Oxbow. Northampton, MA

Massachusetts pisses me off a lot, but damn it has a lot to offer. The nearest place to hike where I used to live was this 1,000 foot tall mountain, Mt. Tom. I’ve been to the other side of the world, and this place still stands up to a foreign city in terms of the excitement and joy it brings me. I stand atop this mountain and see the town I was born in, the town my families grew up in, the town I grew up in, where I went to school, where I partied…my whole life in 30 square miles. I’ll end up posting a lot of pictures from this place.

Reminder to myself: Post charity question

  1. This looks like a grand place to watch your previous years.

  2. Hi, I would like to know if I could use one of your Massachusetts photos, and if so, how much would you charge. Thank you.

  3. SANNA,

I’d love to let you use the photo for free. I would simply request some info on what you were going to use it for, unless it was specifically for profit (i.e. you were going to sell the photo itself, then I couldn’t give it for free of course) and verification that I would be properly credited for my shot :)

Which picture did you have in mind? ‘The Oxbow’?

Thank you so much for asking. I appreciate your respect for my art and I am flattered to be asked. Please write back and give me all the info you can on the usage of the photo, and from there, I can give you an official approval.

    RYAN

  4. Hi Ryan,

I really love this photo of the Northampton Oxbow. I am a student at the Conway School of Landscape Design, working on a project about Northampton, and I was wondering if I could use this image for my report. Of course I would give you credit for the shot. Let me know if that would be okay. Thank you – Tom
